The Fédération québécoise des massothérapeutes agréés (FQM) is pleased to partner with the Coalition québécoise pour la réduction de la maladie, a group of 47 key stakeholders across Quebec’s healthcare network.
Why join this initiative?
For the FQM, massage therapy is not limited to relaxation. Preventing illness, whether physical or mental, is a priority. Our certified massage therapists work daily to provide care that offers significant benefits to a wide range of clients, according to numerous scientific studies, whether for back pain, support in oncology and palliative care, mental health, or sports performance.
As highlighted by Maroine Bendaoud, President and CEO of the FQM, and Sébastien Forgues, Chair of the Board: “Reducing physical and mental illness, including through prevention, is important to the thousands of certified massage therapists, whose treatments provide scientifically-proven benefits for a wide range of clients”.
As a member of this coalition, the FQM will help raise public awareness, promote lesser-known approaches, and support collective initiatives in favour of a healthier Quebec. (ou insérer ‘’province’’ au lieu de Quebec).
A promising partnership
Thanks to the Association pour la santé publique du Québec (ASPQ) and other major actors, such as associations of general practitioners and specialists, physiotherapy organizations, as well as patient organizations (ALS, cancer, Alzheimer’s), the Coalition aims to reduce the impact of chronic diseases by focusing on concrete and accessible solutions for all.
We’re proud to be part of this process and to bring our massage therapy expertise to support this crucial conversation.
